When I was 7 years old, I was very ill for over a year. Our family doctor was stumped. He sent me to a children’s hospital in Indianapolis. After many tests, they sent me back home with no answers. Our family doctor made arrangements for my parents to take me to Rochester, Minn. to the Mayo Clinic. We had to travel by bus because we didn’t own a car. After a battery of tests for 3 days, the Doctors came in and said, they had ruled out Hodgkin’s disease but they too were stumped. One doctor said, “He is in bigger and more powerful hands than ours.” (implying that only God could heal me.) I began to get better and after a few weeks no longer had the symptoms and was able to go back to school but a year behind. I believe God saved me to preach God’s word and still preaching at 82 years of age. We serve an awesome God. ~ Phil Emmert
